Bowenwork ( also known as Bowtech-the Original Bowern Technique) evokes deep relaxation and renews the body's capacity for self-healing. It is a dynamic system of muscle and connective tissue therapy that was developed by late Tom Bowen in Geelong, Australia. Sometimes called the homeopathy of body work, it utilizes subtle inputs to the body, stimulating the body to heal itself, often profoundly.

A series of 3 to 5 sessions one week apart will allow the body to balance and reset patterns for optimal health. Many conditions may require additional sessions, and the goal is to move sessions further apart to give the body more time for integration. The effects hold well because this non-invasive modality allows the body to do work itself.

Some conditions responding well to this technique:

・neurological or immune disorders

・Parkinson's disease, Lyme disease

・Fibromyalgia

・chronic fatigue syndrome

・PTSD, stress & anxiety problems

・ADD

・ADHD

・traumatic & overuse injuries

・carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica

・concussion

・sprains & strains

・neck, shoulder & back pain

・scoliosis

・TMJ syndrome

・migraines

・gastrointestinal dysfunction

・orthopedic problems

・podiatric problem

This very gentle work is appropriate for anyone, from newborns to elderly or infirm. Though not intended to be ongoing therapy, it is helpful in cases of chronic or neurological conditions to continue sessions periodically.
